Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput commits suicide in Mumbai at 34

Sushant Singh Rajput commited suicide at his home in Mumbai. The actor who has given several blockbusters including MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kai Po Che & Kedarnath, was 34 years old. The Patna-born actor became an instant hit with his good looks and boyish charm when he was noticed in the famous soap on Zee TV’s named ‘Pavitra Rishta’ in 2009.

Following the recent input, Noted Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput reportedly committed suicide and reports claim he was found hanging at his Bandra residence on Sunday, a police official said. Meanwhile, Manoj Sharma, additional commissioner of police, Western Region stated, Our team is there.

As per report, Police have reached his apartment but the reason has not been revealed yet. It is stated that the actor wasn’t feeling well for a few days. According to the reports, police have informed that the actor hung himself in his Bandra home. The post-mortem reports are awaited.

Earlier on June 9, Rajput had expressed shock and grief at the passing of his former manager named Disha Salian. The PR executive had committed suicide on June 8, when she jumped off from a 14-storied building in Mumbai’s Malad area. However, after interrogating her close friend, police stated that Disha was suffering from depression for the last few days. The probe in the Disha Salian‘s death case is underway too.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined the nation today in mourning actor Sushant Singh Rajput, “Sushant Singh Rajput…a bright young actor gone too soon. He excelled on TV and in films. His rise in the world of entertainment inspired many and he leaves behind several memorable performances. Shocked by his passing away. My thoughts are with his family and fans. Om Shanti,” the Prime Minister tweeted.

Union home minister Amit Shah tweeted that, Anguished to learn about the sad and untimely demise of the young and very talented actor Sushant Singh Rajput. He will always be remembered for his contribution to Indian cinema. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and followers, he tweeted. Rajput, 34, hailed from Bihar and was educated in Patna and New Delhi, before shifting to Mumbai. Thus, Bollywood and social media reacted with shock and disbelief on hearing the news of Rajput’s death.
